Just when everybody was all riled up for the “Charity Boxing Match”, it didn’t push through. Or more like, it WON’T push through. The fist fight instigator, Baste Duterte, who challenged no less than the Chief Of Police, was bluffing all the while. I’d say, the CPNP “OAed” as well, Obliged and Agreed with an Outgoing and Altruistic proposition. A fundraising match to benefit the flood victims. They never thought General Torre would call their bluff.
From the “challenger’s” camp all of a sudden, they’ve set other conditions which basically were sort of a “supporter brief” as they’ve got no balls. Come to think of it, that’s quite misleading as what’s even there to protect? That “neutering” on their “big dawg” persona, however, seems to have resulted differently. Neutering is some means to address behavioral issues among other things but, we suppose, if having no balls is as natural as theirs, they possess that Ostensibly Ardent (OA) bravado. It’s just for show. They’ve manifested their “all-bark and no bite” marque quite a lot. The machismo they’ve been publicly personifying is “OA” as it is Odiously Artificial. Like a scripted story to venerate their characters infected with a hero syndrome, they’ve been building up their egos to “fan” the flame of their fans’ fiery zealotry and extremism; as well as their Outspokenly Assured mindset. “Fan intended” as they take advantage of such bigotry and fanaticism to get hold of what they believe as the bigger share of the electorate which they take advantage of. That’s what they’re protecting.
As far as their brand of swagger, it’s as “OA” as their Outplaying Ability to condition minds. Manipulating the perception not just of their diehard supporters but more importantly, of their potential political allies into believing they’d similarly get a fair share of their clout (which includes votes and “whatnot that we know of”). And a bigger protection is for that of their position in power. And currently, the new talk of the town, how they seem to have played the Supreme Court’s “unconstitutional ruling” on the VP Sara Duterte’s impeachment case. Just like the boxing match, the majority (or about 66% of Filipinos based on surveys) were looking forward to that indictment trial but WON’T push through as it appears. Seemingly flawed, there’s “law” in there… SC could as well stand for their motion, “Safe Cloture”. As redundant as Outwardly Apparent, who wouldn’t be persuaded Out-of-Apprehension when the protection is as well for a network of their Overwhelming Advocates doing the “Ominous Acts”. Imagine the Overemphasized Arguments their trolls through Orchestrated Accounts put up to Overdramatize Accusations against anyone divulging Opposing Allegations. They’re slaying it quite unassailably as it seems, given their substantial following. Now that’s even tame compared to their squad who really “execute” the dirtier job. None other than the former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte even admitted the existence of a “death squad”. This was somehow affirmed on national TV by the Vice President herself when she threatened how “someone was already contacted to execute” the President, the First Lady and the House Speaker in case something happens to her…
Likewise broadcasted on TV a CCTV footage of the threatening identity of Congressman Paolo Duterte against an apparent pimp… They’re pimping up their “Tatak Duterte” in an Ostentatious Acting fashion. It’s no different from then-presidential candidate RRD’s Overture’s Agenda to capture what tickles the voters’ funny bones (like it’s out of a standup comedy script) with his “jet ski-riding Over-the-top Answer” (regarding his stand on the West Philippine Sea) on top of his movie-like “mission: impossible” eradication of drugs in six months… These and a lot more actually aren’t fabricated stories as there are Overwhelming Authentications how they indeed acted it out. But still, they get to command a different storyline in their favor.
Thus, if it’s just some means to hype their Overpowering Authority as some Outward Appearance or an Overstated Article for a script they live by, then no wonder, the likes of Robin Padilla and Philip Salvador Overly Act like Overzealous Admirers themselves smitten by the act. Outrageously Appalling as it may be but it’s how they play it. It’s their “OA” way of politicking. And there’s an Outpouring Acceptability due to their Omnipotent Amassment of influence. Not a question of right or wrong, or if they care about morality over iniquity, it’s about their Overpowering Ascendancy. Oppositionists and Allies alike are cornered whichever of two sides… They apparently have a script to abide by and you’re in it regardless of your character, “Omnist” or Antagonist. Our Affairs either way. It’s their brand of politics. It’s the Duterte brand.
